This is a collection of LaTeX-like templates for FrameMaker:

  article, book, report

basic, index, list of figures, list of tables, table of contents

The files are distributed as FrameMaker 3.01 MIF files and are therefore
ASCII.

The "latex-style" document gives some idea how to use these templates. The
sectioning commands are not the same as LaTeX, e.g.:

o they are intentionally the same for all styles (e.g. M1Heading is the
top level for article, book or report)

o appendixes have to be given different catalogue names

o lists cannot be nested directly.

The catalogue names can, in the main, be conveniently abbreviated. For
example B(old), L(I1Bullet), M(1Heading), M2(Heading) and N(ewpage) are
short-hands.

I have samples of documents using these templates if you really really need
them. The printed result is intended to be similar to LaTeX. There are some
small and unavoidable differences, e.g.:

o LaTeX uses Computer Modern by default, these templates use Times

o footnote numbers restart per book chapter in LaTeX, they continue in
  these templates.

I have other utilities (e.g. MIF to LaTeX, LaTeX to MML) that rely on these
particular templates.

These templates remain copyright by me and may not be used for commercial
purposes. They may be freely distributed. No warranty is given as to the
accuracy or suitability of these templates.
